Reduce road danger. This means prioritising reducing harm posed to people walking and cycling.
Increase transparency and accountability. We need to know what is being done, what is planned and how this is monitored and evaluated.
Engage citizens and communities in delivering safer roads. Resources are limited, unlike the demands on government. Police and justice system have traditionally treated road crime as second class crime.
